After about a month off, the Crosby Racing team set out to make some much needed repairs and maintenance to the Piedmont Floor Show Outlaw Kart. With so much time off Tate and team paired up with Thomas Mullins for a private test just a few days before Millbridge Speedway held there Winter Series Opener December 7th. The private test went well, finally finding what Tate and kart needed just before time to make that two hour trip back home. We want to thank Randy Mullins with Ram Welding & Fabrication for allowing us to test with them, it really paid off to grab that track/seat time.
Tate and team returned to Millbridge bright and early Saturday morning, and right away got an early draw for qualifying. Tate would be the second kart to hit the track but quickly found speed qualifying fourth with a time of 13.004. That would put Tate starting P2 along side WildMan Jax Kunstbeck in the 10K machine. It looked as if Kunstbeck would walk away with the win but a late caution would restack the field of 8 karts with Tate still in second position. When the pace car would pull off Tate made a move on Kunstbeck and secured the P1 spot to go on and capture the win in heat race one, which also inherited Tate the pole position for the A-Main.
When the karts lined up for the A-Main we could tell TateMan was ready to go, and off they went. Cautions would fly very early, causing for a large amount of restarts. Tate did a fantastic job on every restart staying out front and leading every lap. This would be Tate's first A-main victory, and we hope the streak continues. We are just blessed to do what he loves and have a great support team, behind us. Catch us on track December 21st, at Millbridge Speedway for Winter Series Race #2.

Tate started in the P4 position, outside of the 98 Lawson Restivo. Tate had a great run into turn one but lost all momentum when the kart in front of him starting getting sideways, Tate stayed with the RIGHT FOOT DOWN and jumped the inside birm and kept his position.
What seemed to be a great start by saving it in going into the infield slowly came to a halt when Tate got collected with the 50 of Triton Beeson. The two made contact almost mid center of turns 1 & 2 and Tate ended up on his side. The great track workers at Millbridge Speedway quickly determined Tate and his Piedmont Floor Show 9 machine was good to go and he powered his way to a sixth place finish.
Mom did a great job keeping the camera focused, and she didn't say any ugly words. GREAT JOB MOM!!
Tate Crosby Racing was founded in 2020 when Tate fell in love with Motocross. Tate began racing at the age of two, on the 12 inch STACYC bike. At age three he moved to the 16" STACYC bike. Tate won multiple races, and three consecutive championships on the STACYC bikes while also trying to transition to the gas powered Yamaha PW50. His first year on the PW50 he placed fourth in points and backed up the next year second in points while scoring multiple podium results. His Motocross experience slowly faded away once he developed passion for circle track racing, which brings us to now. 2024 Tate at 6 years old began his dream of racing KARTS at the famous Millbridge Speedway in the Cadet class driving a Outlaw Wing kart purchased from Kyle Busch. In just a few races in karts Tate has a few heat race wins under his belt, and a couple podium finishes in the A-Main features. While the learning curve is new and different, it feels like home and we are steadily improving each event. Thanks for coming along for this wild, fun, and crazy adventure.
